Isn't She Lovely

Isn’t She Lovely

I have always felt a beautiful connection to the moon. There are nights when I look at her and feel completely captivated by her presence, and this painting was born during one of those nights.

This was the very first moon I ever painted. I remember building her slowly, adding layer after layer, becoming more excited as she began to glow on the canvas. Beneath her, the shoreline melts into the water, where an unexpected shape emerged that reminds me of the outline of a whale. There was no complicated story behind this night. I was simply there, enjoying her company and receiving her love.

This original acrylic painting is a one–of–a–kind work by Delana Nance of Radiant Works Studio.
