Rainbow Candy Stacks

Rainbow Candy Stacks

This one started with a groovy little doodle and just kept growing. One shape became another, then another, until the entire canvas was filled with these colorful, curving stacks outlined in black.

Depending on where I look at it, I see different things. Sometimes the shapes remind me of the little pieces from the Cootie game my kids played when they were young. Other times I see stacks of Life Savers, which immediately takes me back to being a kid and getting those rolls of candy in our Christmas stockings.

I love how something that began as a simple doodle ended up holding little pieces of memories from completely different times in my life. The neon colors, heavy black lines and repeating shapes give it that retro, groovy feeling that makes me smile. Rainbow Candy Stacks is playful nostalgia with absolutely no need to behave.
