My Energy Becomes Matter

 My Energy Becomes Matter

There are moments when I paint where energy seems to move faster than my thoughts. I stop trying to control where the piece is going and allow movement, color and instinct to take over. This was one of those moments.

Layers of fiery orange, yellow and red began building across the canvas. I kept adding texture, moving through it and allowing the energy I was feeling to become something I could actually see and touch. What emerged reminded me of a solar flare; powerful, unpredictable and alive. Energy moving outward and changing everything it touches.

Maybe that is part of what creating has always been for me, taking something invisible within myself and giving it a physical place to exist. My movement becomes texture, my emotion becomes color and my energy becomes matter.
